Aug. 17th, 2008 02:50 pmJust had my story for
kamikazeremix beta'd. So that's good to go.
On the lesser happier note: my story for
spncw_fairytale won't make the deadline. I completely messed up here. The fairytale I remembered is a conglomeration of two different stories based on the same mythical figure, and I can't for the life of me find the originals. The internet's offering is slim and I know if I based my story on those it's just going to be disastrous as it's like writing about ancient Roman military culture based on Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus. I'm on the wait list for several fairytale books via local library but I'm still way down the list.
I did start writing with Bobby as the central figure, but that's not completely correct because:
1. it's based on only half of the original myth
2. if continued then Dean and Sam won't be featured
I've basically cornered myself here and boy, do I feel foolish. Hopefully I'll get my hands on some books in September, and if not I'll drive up to Seattle to visit Kinokuniya and see what they got. And though I hate, hate, hate missing deadlines, I won't turn in half-assed work. That's just wrong.
