Insta-rec!

I've just finished watching Red Riding Trilogy. Jesus, that was harsh. The movie's based on a novel series by David Peace. It's not an easy film to take, and not because of its five-plus hours of running time, but the level of evil, both banal and immeasurable, portrayed by those assigned to protect the people. Another reason this trilogy was so hard to watch was the number of plotlines that unravel so deviously and completely throughout those five hours.

So, it goes without saying that you can't fast forward or skip anything. But if you want to watch one of the best movies about the depravity of human soul, a la mode James Ellroy, then this movie is it!
