I figured there would be no indictment within seconds, but my God, Robert McCulloch's delivery was one of the worst I've come across. He pissed all over the people of Ferguson, the social media, and the press when he should have focused on the goddamn tragedy this was for everyone. And if that was too big for his plate: stick to the cold hard evidence.

Seriously, his language was hostile, defensive, and pretty damning.

I hope to God the federal reviews when delivered will be more even-keeled than the mess I just heard. Of course, that should be pretty damn easy since the bar is so bloody low.

Wheeee!

The baby's been sleeping through the night for ... three weeks now.

Go us!

So, I'm going back to writing. I have an original fic in mind, and since it's Lovecraftian, it's perfect for Halloween. And no, there won't be any Sam and Dean running around 'cause even those boys would have a hard time handling the monster rolling inside my head.

October is probably my favorite time of the year b/c of all the horror movies being released. Unfortunately Dream House wasn't. It was marketed as one but it turned out to be a psychological/supernatural thriller. And it SUCKED! OMG, WTFBBQ! How in hell did they rope in the A-listers for this train wreck?! What? Did Morgan Creek hold guns to the actors and the director's heads 'cause that's about the only plausible explanation I can come up with!

So why did I go see it when it rated like 8% at Rottentomatoes? Because it's a horror movie.

Boo.

However, I'll probably park my disappointed ass in the theater for Texas Killing Fields. I don't have high hopes for it but hey, it's Papa Winchester and the Great Wood from Down Under. Yeah, I know Sam Worthington is billed as the next Russell Crowe but I just can't see that happening. His best acting was in Rogue and that was about a killer croc terrorizing a boatload of tourists. Actually, that was a good horror movie from Down Under so there may be hope for Mr. Wood yet.

Do you know what horror fans are? We are the world's greatest optimists. That's what we are.
I just got e-mail notice regarding the latest changes heading our way, and none of it's good.

We expect to start purging suspended accounts by August. The hold-up is that we're still modifying and testing scripts to ensure that all posts--including comments and community entries--associated with suspended accounts are properly purged.

One of the benefits of the work we've done to purge suspended accounts is that we will now be able to purge inactive journals and communities too--something you've been requesting for years!

For example: an artist whose account is considered inactive/suspended will have ALL their artwork purged, regardless of where the posts are located. So, any posts in response to various challenges or uploads/links to any television/movie/music posts will be deleted. I can think of at least two spn fanfic writers whose accounts have disappeared but whose beloved works are still stored in various SPN fanfic communities. I can't even begin to imagine the damage done to comment fic challenges that SPN fandom is so fond of.

Then there's the fact that communities will deleted wholesale regardless of whether their members are active or not.

I can't even begin to consider works of deceased members, b/c I'll blow a gasket if I even try to type out my thoughts on this topic.

Here's a link to voice your concerns, and let's face it there are more than a few!
Hey, jackasses - yes, you, those who are on this petition. When you see your name supporting the same cause as Woody Allen, and it involves sex and underage minors, odds are pretty bloody good you're on the wrong side.

So wake the hell up!

*RAGE*

Okay, maybe not totally incoherent rage because even if I am shaking with anger I tend to be cerebral. Chalk that up my three-year stint at Legal Alcatraz, aka, law school. But, yes, even when sounding calm I can rage. And the times when I have blown up on the internet like Mt. Vesuvius, well ... they've been epic.
